EF English Town The design for the EF English Town learning centers responded to the client’s request for a prototype school that would showcase their new range of internet-learning products. The center was to be futuristic and minimal, while keeping construction costs down. We designed a series of wall and furniture systems that could adapt to any site, and would perform not only as static pieces, but as “social condensors”. These pieces were outfitted in stretch fabric and back lit to create ambient pockets of light, and acted as semi-permeable dividers so that spaces of gradating privacy could flow easily from one to another.
